Sigh...

It's been ages since I've posted. I just don't have the energy for it right now.

My Mumma is still hanging in there. Carolyn and I flew back in late January as it looked like Mum was failing. However, she rallied beautifully after we got there and fought her way back from the edge. We were there almost 2 weeks and we came home happy and full of joy. My Mumma is a fighter and refuses to give in to this insidious disease. Tuesday was her 66th birthday and we never thought she'd make it. Yay Mumma!

I went to a Bead Retreat in Las Vegas mid-February with my beloved friends Kelly, Cyn and Dot. What a fun time we had! I can't even tell you how happy I was to see my dear friends and spend so much time with them. It was so nice to get away and have a bit of vacation from stress. I miss them so much.

Jim is still suffering from seizures and we had a close call last night when we found that he had been undermedicating. He's now back on the proper dosage and I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying very hard that his seizures will subside. It's a terrible thing to watch someone you love become so debilitated by something so uncontrollable. Between him and my Mumma, the stress level is very high. Sometimes I don't even want to get out of bed in the morning. But, life goes on and so must I.

On a lighter note, the weather here in Southern California this time of year is glorious. We had a bit of rain but that doesn't last long. Today the sun is shining and it's about 60 degrees. Beautiful!

Here's a picture of one of our cactus flowers taken a couple of summers ago:
